It is very heartbreaking. A robbery at a Bajaj in Harar city claimed the life of a promising young woman.
On Wednesday, March 13/2015, around 1:30 p.m., while a young woman, Newark Abebe, was returning from school with her friends in the neighborhood commonly known as Mobil, her mobile phone and purse were stolen by thieves on a three-legged vehicle (Bajj). She was fatally hit by the robbers’ Bajaj vehicle under unknown circumstances.
Although she was rushed to the nearby Harar General Hospital, her life could not be saved due to her injuries.
Young Newark Abebe graduated from Harar Polytechnic College with a diploma in accounting and finance in 2014 and recently started studying for a degree at Harar Teachers Training Institute.
Her funeral will be held on March 14/2015 in her hometown Gursum city.
