A student who stabbed and killed a university student who refused to accept love has been sentenced to life in prison.

Prosecutors allege that the defendant, who allegedly stabbed and killed a second-year hotel management student, Tsigeeda Girmay, at Arbaminch University Chamo Campus on January 23, 2014, confessed to the crime and turned himself in to police.

Gamo Zone Police arrested the defendant and presented evidence to the prosecutor from university students, security guards and a doctor.

Defendant allegedly stabbed her friends in the face with a machete and stabbed her nine times in the face. The university staff and students rushed her to Arba Minch General Hospital, but she died at 5:00 pm, according to prosecutors.

Gamo Zone High Court Criminal Court, which reviewed the human, medical, and documentary evidence presented to it by the prosecutor, sentenced Bandar Belayneh to 17 years in prison on May 19, 2014, in accordance with the amended Criminal Procedure Code No. 2/2006. Has decided.

According to the Supreme Court, the verdict was handed down in accordance with Level 34, which is punishable by 15 years to 18 years, with four acquittal charges.
