The well-known Nigerian journalist, writer and filmmaker Rahmato Keta, who is challenging to make Amharic the working language of the African Union, is based in Addis Ababa.
Rahmato Keta is promoting the Amharic language to the international community by translating her films into Amharic.
This visionary woman who came to Addis Ababa to attend the African Union Summit, in the presence of historians, journalists, social activists and government officials, will give a statement and explanation on Tuesday, February 14, regarding the actions she has taken to make Amharic the working language of the African Union and her next plan, according to journalist Gera Getachew, the coordinator of the event.
