A new identification system has been introduced for teenagers who are 18 years old and older and who are not registered in the family form due to the difficulty of going to university.

Following this, he said that a new system has been developed so that teenagers who are not registered in the family form but are over 18 years of age, who are members of a family or who have grown up in poverty or foster care, can access the service by presenting their 8th or 10th or 12th grade educational credentials for reference.

The first digital ID service for urban residents in Ethiopia, which was introduced in 2012 beyond testing and implemented in the city to avoid paper IDs, has passed 1,000,000 registrants in the past week, the Registration and Information Agency has announced.
