EOTC _ Religious leaders honored for standing with the church
The body of the two blessed popes were laid to rest in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
From where the body of His Holiness Abune Basilios and His Holiness Dr. Abune Gerawi rested in honor, they were escorted by His Holiness the Popes, the church leaders, their families, and the faithful to the Patriarch’s Holy Mary Monastery.
On March 16th, today at 2:30 in the morning, from the place where he rested in honor, they arrived at Menber Tsabaot Holy Trinity, where their body was escorted by the holy abbot, bishops and scholars of the church, Sunday school singers, as well as his friends and relatives.
It is known that his funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral by His Holiness Abune Mathias I, the Patriarch of Ethiopia, the Archbishop of Ethiopia Zeaxum Wechige, the contemporary Patriarch, and His Holiness the Archbishop.
