The Financial Security Service has called on those who have lost their money in the online scam, Fias 777, to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. Financial Security Service Communication Endalle Assefa(PhD), told EBC Cyber Media that the number of scammers using social and online media has been increasing in collaboration with the National Intelligence and Security Agency.
He said that after collecting large sums of money from people using social and online media, it was revealed that there were hidden people who destroyed their addresses. He said the matter is being investigated in collaboration with law enforcement.
According to the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), the recent so-called ‘Fias’ online scam is one of the most fraudulent acts used on social and online media.
