World Happiness Day is being celebrated today on March 11. According to the data released on the occasion of the day, Ethiopia ranks 14th in the list of least happy countries in the world.
For six consecutive years, Finland has been chosen as the happiest country in the world, and Forbes, which made the World Happiness Report, stated that it based the assessment of the quality of life on the basis of the votes collected.
Among the benchmarks are healthy life expectancy, per capita GDP growth, social support, low corruption, generosity in society and freedom to make key life decisions.
In the list, America and Germany are 15th and 16th and England is 19th. The happiest countries in the list are Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Israel and the Netherlands, while Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand are in the tenth place. Out of the 20 countries in the world that are said to be the least happy, 15 are from Africa.
Accordingly, out of 20 countries of the world, Afghanistan is ranked 1st, while Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Congo are ranked 5th. Ethiopia is ranked 14th in the list of the world’s happiest countries, while Egypt is ranked 17th in the same list.
