China gave free education to more than 100 Ethiopian students.
The scholarship is part of the “China Ethiopia Friendship Scholarship” which was started 5 years ago.
The educational opportunity was given to undergraduate and graduate students who were studying at Addis Ababa University.
According to this, 80 students in first degree, 6 students in third degree, 18 students in Chinese language, 12 students in Addis Ababa University Information Technology were given project scholarships and one student was given a study fund.
It is also stated that the educational opportunity provided costs 2.19 million birr.
ESA reported that the Chinese government will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Ethiopia in the field of education and research.
The president of the university Taswe Woldhana (Prof.) who attended the ceremony at Addis Ababa University urged the students who got the opportunity to study and benefit their country and themselves.
